In this episode Liam Macleod and Sven De Hondt talk about the 25th Bath Film Festival, which continues until 13th December 2015, and discuss some of the highlights being screened there.

The annual Sight & Sound poll of the year’s best films included The Assassin in the top spot, but others in the Bath line-up also figured. Room came in at 26th position – and has just won the international award at the British Independent Film Awards.

And while Dear White People’s distribution earlier in 2015 included a spell at the Watershed in Bristol, it was limited by a lack of support from some of the usual sources of funding, notably the BFI. The film’s distributor, The New Black Film Collective, had plenty to say on the subject at the time.
